From the Midwest to Mumbai: Baha'i Choir Returns from India

On Monday, June 28, singer Emily Price, stepped off a plane at Chicago’s O’Hare airport and after twenty hours of travel she headed straight for rehearsal with the city’s Grant Park Chorus. While she sight-read French choral music and withstood fatigue, images of India danced in her head.

Singers will soon converge in Chicago for 4th Annual Baha’i Choral Music Festival

At the end of this month, 200 voices will together sing songs of divinity as Baha'is and friends from across the country travel to Wilmette, Ill. for the 4th Annual Baha’i Choral Music Festival and Concerts.

Delegates from across the country are in Wilmette, Ill. today to kick off the 2010 Baha’i National Convention

The annual event, held during the 12-day Festival of Ridvan, which commemorates Baha'u'llah's proclaiming in 1863 His mission as God's Messenger for this age, is when delegates come together to elect the nine-member National Spiritual Assembly.

The Fourth Annual Choral Music Festival was held May 27-30, 2010 and there were two free concerts at the Baha'i House of Worship on Sunday, May 30th at 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
